My whole family was very optimistic about this trip to IC for Dad's second opinion, figuring they would just do an MRI and run a few blood tests....wrong! Dad started to nauseous yesterday afternoon and when we first got to the hospital today they did some bloodwork. While meeting with the doctor, we were told that one of his medications was in a toxic range because his body wasn't metabolizing it very fast -- therefore building up in his system so they decided to admit him for at least 24 hours so that he can be watched and they also want to change some of his medications so I bet he is in the hospital for two nights. My aunts feel the same way. Tensions are also high with Mom and I, which is nothing new for the past two months. I'd get into it what happened today but there really is no point. I went shopping with one of my aunts and we got pedicures, then came back to the hotel and had a beer. I feel a little more at ease. My other aunt just gave me another beer. hahaha.
